Updates Log

15/06/2016 - I am currently writing my analysis of the Scream 4 trailer. It is to be completed and linked to the blog by Monday 20th. I am using the same editing software we used for our AS task, because we know how to use it, although I would like to use Premiere Pro in the future, as it is more professional and the tools are more advanced.

20/06/2016 - I have completed my first draft of the Scream 4 trailer analysis and I am currently improving it by using a sheet listing areas to analyse, such as themes and industry details.

10/07/2016 - I have finished my conventions page. I have written about Scream 4, the Forest, and Assassin's Creed, and I have embedded text about Captain America: Civil War from Connor's blog. I decided to analyse 2 horror films and 2 non horror films to show the differences between the genres. I have also finished my trailer analysis videos and have embedded them on a separate page. Like the previous task, I embedded Connor's Captain America video onto my own page.

8/09/2016 - I have embedded all of the trailer analyses from the group, and I have created a green screen magazine analysis which is also now on my blog. I used Adobe Premier Pro to edit the green screen, because it is more advanced than iMovie and by using the more professional features, such as the "ultra key" and "sixteen-point garbage matte", I was able to get a higher quality green screen. Using this software was also faster than using iMovie, which surprised me, as I thought it would be harder to learn.

28/09/2016 - We have thought up some ideas for our horror film trailer, such as the setting, character, and some of the shots we may use while filming and we have begun story-boarding our trailer.

11/10/2016 - We have completed the risk assessment, audience research, location research, storyboard, shot list, script and the prop list. I have made sure that all of the improvements have been made to my blog.

17/10/2016 - I have sourced three different fonts that I think would be suitable for the front page of my horror magazine. These fonts are "Nightmare 5", "Overdose Sunrise", and "Crimes Times Six". In addition to this, I have created a poll for the magazine's title. The options are "Apparition", "Lurid", "Macabre" and "Dire".

24/11/2016 - I have created a first draft of my poster and my magazine cover. I have received feedback and I am currently making improvements to both drafts.

25/01/2016 - I have finished my poster and magazine and I have finished the first draft for Evaluation Question 1.

30/01/2016 - I have embedded evaluation questions 1,2, and 4. Question 3 is close to being completed and should be on my blog in the next couple of days.

29/03.2016 - All of the evaluation questions have been finished and improved. Images have been added to make them more visually appealing and the grammar has been thoroughly checked.
