Magazine Planning

Nightmare 5
Overdose Sunrise

 Crimes Times Six
Feedback
The polls show that most people prefer the "Crimes Times Six" font. Also, the most popular magazine title is "Macabre". I intend to use the most popular answers, because my results show that there is more of a demand for them than the alternatives.

Magazine Text

I think the use of a puff would be effective, so I plan to include a puff with the words "FREE POSTER IN EVERY COPY! in bold text".
I am also going to include the release date and price of the magazine. It will be located below the magazine's title and it will be in a smaller font because it is less significant than the other text on the cover.
In addition to this, it is important to display the title of the film and the film's slogan, because then the audience knows what the main content in the magazine is about and the use of a slogan helps to make the film more memorable.
A barcode must be located somewhere on the front cover, so I will place it in the bottom left corner so that it is out of the way of the text and main image.
At the bottom of the cover, I will include the text "Exclusive! The Conjuring 2 and Don't Breathe!" By doing this, more people are attracted to the magazine because they may want to know more about the recent mainstream horror films.
The text will be a choice of black, red and white. The masthead will be in a custom "Crimes Times Six", while the rest of the text will be in an "Arial" or "Arial Black" font.
Strip text - "Voted Number 1 Horror Magazine".
"EXCLUSIVE interview with Connor Leigh".

Magazine Draft

This is my magazine first draft.

I will make the main image larger, move it downwards slightly and make some of the text white to counteract the large amount of red text.
