Final Poster

This is my finished poster:

I chose to use a chiaroscuro colour scheme because I think it looks dramatic, especially when paired with the extreme close-up of the protagonist's face. The text has been styled to look sinister, as it has a custom, thin font and is coloured red. This is effective because red has connotations with danger and blood, which conforms to typical horror conventions. I layered a cracked texture onto the protagonist's face to present him as being weak and vulnerable. I also applied an iris to the edge of the image to make it blend with the background better. As for the background itself, I simply made it black with a white central gradient and moved it so that it looked like a light coming out from behind the protagonist. In addition to this, I included the release date, slogan and credit block to make it more professional, as these are commonly found in most film posters.
